Guess who has teeth!?!

Well, I suppose it was bound to happen, but we weren't expecting this so soon - Brooke has gotten her first tooth, and her second isn't far behind. She has been chewing on everything like crazy, but we never thought that it was because she was actually teething already!
"Open wide!"
Here's a close-up.
It was a big weekend because not only did our munchkin get her first teeth, she also started eating vegatables. We started with sweet potatoes. She was a little unsure at first, but ended up liking them quite a bit!
I told her that just because she has teeth, they weren't intended to be used as a can opener!

What a silly girl!!

"What is this stuff?"
Love this smile!!

Where in the world is Brooke these days?

Well, it's been a while since we've had a chance to sit down and blog. Brooke has been doing well and seems to be growing so fast! Here are a few pics to help catch you up!

Hanging out with her daddy

Loving her her new friends - her feet!

Still loving her footy friends!

Trying to work the bottle on her own

We just started cereal on Sunday. She was a little unsure at first, but seems to really be enjoying it now.

It has been summer camp at my work this week. Brooke went with me on Friday to sort some supplies, and then came back Monday afternoon to help decorate for the Tuesday activities. The theme for that day was "Winter", thus the reason for the snow.

Battle Creek Balloon Festival

Darren, Brooke, and I went to Battle Creek for the afternoon today. Brooklyn got to meet her cousins, Morgan and Alexis, for the first time. They all love their Nana!

Brooklyn then went to her first Battle Creek Hot Air Balloon Festival. We went for about an hour during the evening to watch all 50 of the balloons take flight. It was very nice weather and a beautiful sight.

"Yay, balloons!!"

Trying to stay out of the sun.

Even after a long day, she had a couple more smiles left in her before bedtime.

Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We went to cookout at our friends, Ashley and Kelly's house. We tried to take a couple of family pictures, but Brooke decided she wasn't feeling it. Here are a couple of shots anyway.

We especially want to wish a Happy 4th to my uncles, Alan and Larry, my Papaw, and to Darren's stepdad, Mr. Max, who have all served our country in the Armed Forces. We love you and are so proud of you!! Thank you!!

Daily life

Darren, Brooke, and I went out for dinner last night at the Texas Roadhouse. Everyday occurences are so different now. Going out to eat involves Darren and I passing Brooke back and forth over the table and taking turns eating whenever she is awake. There are burpies, toys, and other baby paraphernalia all over the table. Last night she really wanted to stretch out and do her own thing for a bit, so she just hung out for half of dinner laying in the booth beside me.

Looks like Brooke had a wild night last night. I went to get her up this morning and this is what I found. Silly girl!!
