Detroit's Eastern Market

Have you been to the Eastern Market? It is one of my favorite places in Detroit. Brooklyn, Nana, and I went there this morning and loaded up on herbs, fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Here are a few pics.

Nana had to go home early today, so Brooklyn and I did a little spring cleaning. I started changing out her clothes that she has outgrown. She is such a huge hinderance...I mean....such a huge help!!!

And this is just a fun picture of bathtime. :)

What a fun and busy day!! Thanks for a great weekend, Nana!!

Flower Power!

Brooklyn, Nana, and I went to the Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor today. We had such beautiful weather today and we couldn't help but get out and enjoy it! We took pictures with the daffodils and then strolled through the conservatory.

We can't wait to go back! Unfortunately, we didn't have our hiking clothes and shoes on today, and apparently they also have several trails that cover over 300 acres! We'll keep you posted!!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Russell!!!

My dad got married this weekend!! Darren, Brooklyn, and I packed up and traveled down to St. Louis this weekend, to watch my dad get married on Saturday. Afterwards, we had a barbeque and did a little clay bird shooting. It was the most casual and interactive wedding that I have ever been to, but if you know my dad - it was the perfect day! Here are a few pictures of the bride and groom, the festivities, and of course, a few pictures of our little pride and joy.

We set up a little buffet inside one of the buildings. I loved the ambience created by the Christmas lights! :)

Darren helped Brooklyn practice her walking skills.

We just loved this little camo hat!

Getting ready to shoot!

My dad is his element!

Taking a little time out to check some emails and send some texts!

Congratulations, Dad! I'm so happy for you and Kathy! We wish you many years of love and happiness!

Easter Weekend

Darren had Friday off from work, so we all went and had Hippo's Hotdogs for lunch. If you've never had a Chicago-style hotdog - this is the place to try one! They are awesome!!

We just hung out together for the rest of the day. I wish Darren had every Friday off!

On Saturday, I worked in the yard and then we dyed eggs with Nana that evening. Brooklyn had her first hard boiled egg, which then warranted a bath.

Easter Sunday was a very fun and busy day. Brooklyn was very excited to see what the Easter Bunny (Nani, Nana, Mimi, Mommy, and Daddy) had brought her. (I wonder if she will ever realize how much she is loved!?!)

Then we drove up to Midland and went to church with Pop and after lunch spent some time just hanging out at the house. You probably won't believe this - but the Easter Bunny left her a basket at her Pop's house too!! Out of which, Brooklyn got to enjoy her first Peep!

We changed our clothes and spent a little more time just lounging around.

Like father - like daughter! :)

It was a lovely weekend!
